Halloween has its roots in ancient festivals, but it wasn't always a celebration of ghosts and goblins. In fact, the early Christian church tried to eliminate the pagan traditions surrounding Samhain, which marked the end of harvest season. But the people wouldn't let go of their spooky superstitions, and eventually, Halloween evolved into a day for trick-or-treating, costume parties, and all things macabre.
From the 16th century onwards, European immigrants brought their own traditions to America, where they merged with African and Native American customs. This melting pot of cultures created the unique blend of Halloween we know today.
As the sun sets on October 31st, the streets of ContactLand transform into a realm of enchantment. The air is filled with the sweet scent of pumpkin spice and the distant sound of howling wolves.
In this magical world, the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur. Ghostly apparitions flit about, while witches cast spells to conjure up treats for the trick-or-treaters.
